Thought this would be easy .... I was wrong!

Hi all,

Firstly I want to say hello. I don't like jumping into the nitty-gritty without really introducing myself.

I had a reseller account with someone who was admin on the server, and thought "Can't be much more to this!" Oh how i was wrong!

We recently aquired a dedicated server for our website. There is only the one website running on the server (3 accounts with 2 of them pointing to the other 1).

The website is a phpbb forum running on an SQL Database.

Since we setup the server we have had a few problems. We resolved one or two (resolving to the wrong IP and such) and we now have one serious problem. The CPU is running at MAX constantly.

I have looked in the WHM for the details by using "Main>Server Status>CPU/MYSQL/Memory Usage" and i get the following information.

sabret[this is the website]
Top Process %CPU 30.0 httpd [www.sabre-torrents.com][/community/viewtopic.php?p7432&sid221b85ca3eef10de0a41dc2]

Top Process %CPU 18.0 httpd [www.sabre-torrents.com] [/community/]

Top Process %CPU 16.0 httpd [www.sabre-torrents.com] [/community/]

nobody

Top Process %CPU 30.0 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -DSSL

Top Process %CPU 18.0 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -DSSL

Top Process %CPU 17.0 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -DSSL

mysql

Top Process %CPU 13.0 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir/ --datadir/var/lib/mysql --usermysql--pid-file/var/lib/mysql/t67.1paket.com.pid --skip-locking

Top Process %CPU 8.0 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir/ --datadir/var/lib/mysql --usermysql--pid-file/var/lib/mysql/t67.1paket.com.pid --skip-locking

Top Process %CPU 7.0 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir/ --datadir/var/lib/mysql --usermysql--pid-file/var/lib/mysql/t67.1paket.com.pid --skip-locking

Now I am stuck. How do i find out why the usages are so high, and how do i resolve it. For the minute, I can accept the high usage from the sabret account, but the other processes .... should they be running so high?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will be searching the forums for any information including the FAQ section above.

Thanks in advance,

ConcreteMonkey

P.S. Please tell me if you need any more information. Also note that I am a novice who is dedicated to learning how to do this properly.
