mysql, phpmyadmin, etc

My dedicated server has just been set up it has:

Operating System: CentOS 4.3
Server Specifications: P4 2.4Ghz 1024RAM

and that is it so far, it has nothing else installed.

So what are my first steps to getting my site back up and running. (My site is a Vbulletin Forums)
Which software should I install on the server.

And which software version do you recommend that is the most stable and bug free for CentOS 4.3

Could you also provide some installation help for each software using SSH as im fairly new with it all.
