Microsoft expands Wyoming footprint with new Cheyenne data center

Microsoft has broken ground on a new data center along HR Ranch Road in Cheyenne, with construction slated to run through early 2026. The site adds to the company’s growing presence in Wyoming, where it has operated since 2012. The project follows earlier builds in Cheyenne and reflects the state’s rising role in U.S. cloud and hyperscale infrastructure.
