Google opens TPU access to rival clouds, Fluidstack first to sign on

Google is loosening its grip on Tensor Processing Units, offering the powerful AI chips to outside cloud providers for the first time. Sources say London-based Fluidstack has already signed a deal, deploying TPUs in its New York data center with Google backing the venture through a $3.2 billion guarantee and a 14% equity stake. Talks with other “neoclouds,” including CoreWeave and Crusoe, signal a broader strategy shift.
