Alibaba Cloud opens new Dubai data center to power AI growth in Middle East

Alibaba Cloud has opened its second data center in Dubai, deepening its regional presence nine years after the first. Announced at GITEX Global 2025, the facility is part of Alibaba’s $53 billion global cloud and AI infrastructure expansion. The new hub will power collaborations with Wio Bank, The Game Company, and Accumed, strengthening Dubai’s growing role as a hub for AI adoption and digital transformation in the Middle East.
