10Web CEO Arto Minasyan envisions new era of WordPress with AI-powered ‘vibe coding’
During the CloudFest USA event, 10Web Co-Founder and CEO Arto Minasyan shared insights on how the firm he leads is transforming WordPress by integrating AI with the adaptable nature of open source. Minasyan, a native of Armenia, with a doctorate in mathematics, has been, for the most part, researching throughout his professional journey how the use of automation in website creation can release people from this tedious task but still allow them to have the creative side of the control.
Founded in 2017, 10Web first focused on managed WordPress hosting. By 2021, the company shifted direction, introducing AI-powered website building long before generative AI became mainstream. Now, 10Web is unveiling Vibe for WordPress, a new API-based solution that allows hosting providers, SaaS companies, and digital agencies to offer AI-driven website creation under their own brand.
Instead of targeting end users, 10Web’s model supports industry partners. This approach allows hosting companies to maintain their own infrastructure while integrating an AI-enhanced editing experience inside WordPress. Minasyan explained that the tool acts as a bridge between technical complexity and creative accessibility.
“AI is actually a new kind of developer or co-pilot for the user to build a website,” he said, noting that users can describe the design or functionality they want, and the system automatically generates the corresponding code.
When asked about design creativity, Minasyan was candid about AI’s current limits. “AI doesn’t have taste,” he said. However, users can still guide the design by providing screenshots or layout references, which the system can then recreate within their own style.
One of the points he put foremost was the fact that any code generated by 10Web’s AI is in all cases open-source and is the property of the final client. The websites keep on working independently even if the AI layer is taken off.
Thinking about the change of 10Web’s strategy, Minasyan mentioned that the concept of the company moving to an API-first model was largely based on the support team communication. The understanding which support team communication gave has now become the main driver of 10Web’s roadmap that focuses on collaboration, innovation, making website creation still easy, and at the same time, giving most of the flexibility which WordPress users are used to.
