NameSilo reaches 6 million domains as registrar growth shifts toward scale, stability

NameSilo has reached a significant milestone, with over six million domains under management, making the registrar one of the top one percent of ICANN-accredited registrars globally. This achievement comes at a time when size in the domain registration business is more a result of operational efficiency than of upselling or add-on services.

Founded in 2010, NameSilo built its footprint gradually, focusing on pricing transparency, account security, and bulk management tools that appeal to portfolio holders and long term domain investors. While the global registrar market includes more than three thousand accredited players, only a small fraction manage domains at this volume, and even fewer maintain consistent growth in a market that has largely matured.

The company’s expansion has accelerated since its acquisition in 2018. During that period, domains under management increased by more than four and a half million, far outpacing average industry growth rates. Instead of relying on short term promotions, NameSilo has leaned into predictable pricing and included features such as WHOIS privacy, ICANN fees, and security controls as standard elements. As a result, customer retention, rather than rapid churn, has driven much of the growth.

Operationally, bulk domain management has played a central role. Many large registrars serve casual users first, then adapt tools for scale later. NameSilo took the opposite approach, designing systems that handle thousands of domains from the outset. That decision continues to resonate with professional users who prioritize efficiency and control over polished marketing.

NameSilo has also diversified into other related services such as hosting, SSL certificates, premium DNS, email solutions, and domain marketplace products aside from its registrar business. These new services enlarge the ecosystem without distracting from the main registrar workflow. Just launched features like AI assisted site building in public beta indicate that experimental are still playing around rather than a complete switch.

The milestone also coincides with NameSilo Technologies Corp. being added to the CSE25 Index, which tracks the largest companies by market capitalization on the Canadian Securities Exchange. While index inclusion does not change daily operations, it reflects growing market visibility following sustained execution.

Looking ahead, the company plans a user experience redesign scheduled for the second half of 2026. If executed carefully, it may modernize the interface without disrupting the workflows that existing customers rely on.
