G42 backs $1B sovereign cloud, AI push in Vietnam

G42 has joined Vietnam’s FPT Corporation and Viet Thai Group in a plan to invest up to $1 billion in national-scale cloud and AI infrastructure. The partners will develop three data centres to support sovereign cloud, AI workloads, and high-performance computing. The initiative reflects Vietnam’s ambition to strengthen data sovereignty and position itself as a Southeast Asia AI and cloud hub.
