Linuxthreads ?

I have installed MySQl and chilisoft ASP(it's working now) but now my problem is that i can't connect too the localhost under whatever username (root, admin).

I saw somewhere that if this problem occured I have to install Linuxthreads and compile MySQl for that.

Is this true ?
