DNS and IP???

Can anyone help me about the DNS
I want to add IP based domain in server. I added site name and the IP.
Ftp via Ip is working but its not resolving the domain name.
The name server of server is ns.mycompany.com and ns2.mycompany.com

What is virtual DNS name serve and virtual IP name server.
The control panel is of ensim (http://www.ensim.com/)
