Slow writes of files in RHL 6.1
Am hoping someone has a quick fix for this one
We are moving our clients from a set of servers to another set of servers with a different company.
Both servers are RHL 6.1
The only key item I see right now is the new servers are much much slower at writing files.
Example. I do a vi httpd.conf and edit this file. It is roughly 300k.
It will take about 4 to 5 seconds to save the file.
On the old set of servers, I edit this same file, and it when I go to save it via vi, it saves immediately (no delay).
This is a RHL 6.1 setting? If so, could someone let me know what I need to change to fix this?
This seems to affect Perl scripts that write log files, esp when they are getting above the 500k mark (which really isn't all that big for a log file).
