Have an opinion on ComSocks as a proxy+ ?

I am unhapply with the access to my accounts and servers, on the client side. I can't telnet/FTP/etc through the simple proxy I use at home. Just browse (thank goodness for cpanel). We have to run each other off the connected computer for our frequent telnet or FTP sessions. My wife doesn't like it.

I am considering a better solution. ComSocks looks goods and is reasonably priced. Here is a quote:

"ComSocks incoporates NAT, HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS, DNS, FTP, Telnet, DHCP, RealAudio, Port Mapping, VPN (PPTP and IPSec), and dial-up remote control all-in-one."

But I have never heard of it. It does not seemed to have been discussed in these forums (and others). Null search results. Any opinions?
