Broken images at times
Can someone enlighten my as to why a server would act like this. I am on a server and started getting complaints from users of broken images. It is images that people have viewed before. I went to check it out and found out that if you do not let the images download all the way, stop the page or go to another page and dont let a pages images load all the way then you come back to that page later it will show broken images. You can refresh all you want and the images will not come back until you do a ctrl refresh. I checked into it more on a page that had broken images after stopping it and found out that if I put in a direct link to the images it tries to download the image instead of viewing it. If the same image is showing after a ctrl refresh you can put in a direct link and it will not try to download. Here is a screen shot of the problem image trying to download. This image is on the web. I think It must be some server setting or cache problem with the server. I would love to know what it is.

Sometimes you can take an image like the one above and stop it before it loads then refresh it and it will show the binary code instead of trying to load the image again in the browser.
Please try it and see what you get.
This is a first for me, anyone else seen this before?

PS. if you go looking around the site you will find a lot of real broken images because I am just moving the website. I am not talking about them I am talking about the ones that are on the server and show most of the time. I have been getting complaints from my auction users for about a week. This only happens on this server so I know its not a problem with our users pcs. Also note I am not knocking the host they have been very good so far. I just want to know what this is and if its on our end or some setting, directory problem or what. They have not duplicated the problem yet.
THIS PROBLEM IS FIXED NOW - I still do not know what was causing it though. Thanks for looking!!!
