migrating e-mail from one server to another

I've been looking everywhere for a solution for this problem.

Here goes...

We're in the process of purchasing a webhost company and would like to migrate all services over to our servers. The migration will be to a Linux sendmail box.

The issue I have is with the e-mail and dns propagration. I think I've figured out how to "redirect" incoming SMTP traffic from the old server to the new server. The problem is with the mail that currently resides in POP boxes on the old server. Since these POP boxes are of different flavors, UNIX, NT.. Etc.. I can't just copy the sendmail folder over to the new server, etc... What I'm looking for is a migration utility like VOPmail migrator http://www.vircom.com/en/products/vo...mail_mig.shtml .

I guess what I'm looking for is a script that takes a username and password that a user uses on the new system during a POP session and turns around and check the old server for mail and delivers it the new server and when the user checks their once more, the old mail is waiting for them in the new server. When I saw this was available with the VOPMAIL program, I couldn't believe it.

I'm sure others are looking for this, so if anyone has any ideas, please post.

Thanks,

Barry
