server performance (hits)
I am new to coming up with server configs, so here is my situation.
I have a site which tosses out 30m page views per month, 1m per day.. coming out to approximately 1000 to 1500 gb transfer per month. There is no database driven content, simply a few small Perl/CGI scripts but 99.999% is static. The server will be running FreeBSD as I understand it is best suited for a heavy load site. The site itself only needs about 100mb disk space. The server would need to be expandable as the site is slowly growing.
The question is... what server specs would you recommend for a site such as this?
