cannot open file for writing: input/output error
I'm using Cpanel, and when I go to a particular user's /home/(user)/etc directory, and try to write a file, I get the following error:
cannot open file for writing: input/output error
I'm logged in as root. I'm also trying to create a new file in the directory, gives the same error. If I try to delete the etc directory within this user's home directory, I get the same error. If I try to mkdir etc , It tells me the file is already there.
Anybody know what this error is? I had to do a hard reboot / fsck today on this machine... could this have corrupted this particular directory?
Any suggestions would be great.
