Hard drive install

Hello can you give me a little help on setting up new hard drive on system.


I am about to set up a email serveice that uses a catchall pop account, i plan to add (to already installed system) a 10 gig hard drive to store accounts, if it is successful i plan to transfer account from 10gig to larger hard drive and use 10gig for back up.

Questions:

How best to set each domains catchall pop account to be stored on new 10 gig hard drive?

I know for best performance it is best to have hard drive on separate ide channels, but how is this best done if i plan to upgrade second hard drive later? should i put 10gig on same ide channel as current system hard drive and when i upgrade put thired and largest drive on second ide channel?

apologies if this seems basic but i want to plan it out now so i don't get into trouble later.
