Emergency DNS Problem
Hello,Overview:
Today we have had reports that our website http://zymic.com (registrar Godaddy) is redirecting to another domain name we do not own http://svenekretnine.com
On my home connection and for most people our website loads fine, but with full screenshots from other people I started to take the issue seriously. I logged on to my Windows server which is on another ISP and the website http://zymic.com points towards http://svenekretnine.com.
Screenshot:
http://i33.tinypic.com/8xipw2.jpg
Yet if I type www.zymic.com I see the correct version:
http://i37.tinypic.com/2n69945.jpg
So it seems to be a problem with NO sub-domain (www. etc works fine) I then did a nslookup:
C:\Users\Administrator>nslookup zymic.com
Name: zymic.com
Address: 72.232.162.50
C:\Users\Administrator>nslookup www.zymic.com
Name: www.zymic.com
Address: 216.18.194.242
So we see here there are two IP's in the mix:
NO www. you get 72.232.162.50 which is NOT our server
With www. you get 216.18.194.242 which is our server
I dig deeper reveals 72.232.162.50 was our old server we had years ago, so that explains that this is not someone hacking or messing us around so to speak as it is a known IP. It just so happens to be that there is another website (http://svenekretnine.com) on this IP and all DNS which points to this IP goes to that website.
So it has to be a DNS issue:
Our domain is with Godaddy. In the host summary box I am presented with:
http://i36.tinypic.com/okxs13.gif
ns1, ns2 etc are pointed to our correct IP addresses. The only entry in this box which makes no absolute sense is the BLANK entry at the top.
If I click EDIT on this I am presented with:
http://i34.tinypic.com/4rw6kk.gif
So we have BLANKzymic.com record being set which points to the IP in focus 72.232.162.50
If I try to change this IP it tells me "host name is required", but there was NOT any hostname in the first place:
http://i36.tinypic.com/4v00uq.jpg
If I add an entry to the hostname box, click save, it confirms it has been successful, but upon further inspection, the hostname never gets changed and nor do I get a confirmation email:
http://i35.tinypic.com/24x3vk1.jpg
So all I am left with is DELETING this zone, so I click delete, like so:
http://i37.tinypic.com/nnns5l.jpg
But it does not work, I get an email
The requested deletion for the following name server FAILED: ZYMIC.COM
Error: host association prohibits operation

http://www.zymic.com/dns/godaddy1.html
I spent 20 minutes on the phone to Godaddy, and their support staff told me that yes this blank hostname is an error (or rather 'fluke') but it has NO impact to my domain name and I should ignore it. But is it not a coincidence that http://zymic.com points to this IP? BLANK hostname would mean NOTHINGzymic.com > 72.232.162.50, and this is what is happening. In the end they said it is not a problem their side, and it is my DNS providers problem.
Zoneedit DNS
We use zoneedit for our main DNS, although we do have nameservers and some host entries set with Godaddy. If you WHOIS our domain you can see our zymic.com site points to ZoneEdit. So perhaps the Godaddy blank hostname is not to blame, and it is ZoneEdit.
In ZoneEdit there is absolutely no reference to this IP, here are all of our A records:

Where does the problem reside?
Help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
