Who has answers?
We've had it for a month - with no problems. Everything running fine.
Then all of a sudden we are getting an email here and there with people saying they are getting an apache successfully installed message on their website. We go to look and their site is fine. They say its fine now for them too..Then 5 minutes later its back again.
Increase the amount of emails as the day goes on - more and more people having this situation. Add onto that an occasional popup dialog window in WHM asking for the password for ANOTHER server and not ours - which of course we dont know the password to. Hit cancel and click around a few times and it seems to disappear.
Sounds like an ip conflict so that afternoon go visit Rackshack online chat and ask someone to check the network for us - and email saburovo with the problem at hand.
Well..since its sporadic we get answers like everything is fine from our end etc.,etc. I'm sure you've heard that before.
Hit midnight/1am the next day?
Server completely locked down and asking for the root/pass of this other server that we have no idea the root pass for. Cant access SSH...WHM and ALL sites are now unavailable on that server.
Rackshack says that its an ip misconfiguration between the servers since they are both owned by saburovo - the server in question that everything is being redirected to is infact empty and its ip address is 1 digit different then ours.
Saburovo says that there is no misconfiguration - and they submit a reboot request because our server isnt responding to ssh?
Does ANYONE have ANY clue what the hell could be wrong? I've got a couple of hundred very angry people on my hands - who've now had to put up with the server being "down" so to speak since Friday!
There is no excuse for such a thing and I hate not having any answers to tell them since no answers are being given to me except ones that say - there is no problem. or..we'll look into it.
I hate to be a b*tch about these things and post here on WHT...but after emails get ignored for a day and then get a reply saying the server needs a reboot or something..and basically everyone passing the buck saying "its not me" i'm ..getting..a bit. frustrated. I want to be able to dooo something to fix it. Anything! Instead of sitting on my butt answering angry emails and waiting for someone else to fix it who doesnt seem to realise that there is a problem in the first place.
I love saburovo and Dennis and the gang...and i'm not trying to slam them. I still heartily recommend them to anyone - but i need to know if there is ANYTHING I can do to get this fixed.
