3 Questions (IIS)
Hi all,Merry Christmas, only a few more days to go

I'm setting up a webserver, got all of the components, now for the software. I am running Windows 2000 server.
I understand that it's standard to use Control Panels for the task of adding users, and managing them. However, i would like to take a step back, for two reasons. To know how it works manually because i would feel more comfortable buying or coding my own control panel script later, and because i don't want to pay for something that may have an alternative (knowledge factor).
Basically, to cut to the chase:
1.) I would like to know what recommendations you have on running a webserver hosting multiple accounts using IIS.
2.) To set up FTP accounts do you have to create the account on the system, and if so, would guest/user with read/write/delete for their specific user directory be enough.
3.) Security Issues with setup of questions 1 and 2, other then keeping up with patches, service packs, using URLScan, and IIS Lockdown. (Note: the modem i am using has a built in firewall)
Advice and recommendations more then welcome and appreciated.
