I do development on my site at home on a Red Hat machine. I use a host which uses Red Hat also. Anyway, due to the fact that my site is using the DV2 network which is having serious problems, I am preparing to transfer to a new host. I really like Fluidhosting as I only have read postive things about them. If I am not transerred to a new network under my current host by this week, I will go somewhere else.
What I would like to know is what kind of a difference is there between FreeBSD and Red Hat? I use MySQL/PHP & ImageMagick. If I will have to recode anything I would need to look for a host that uses RH Linux instead.
