Web page redirect after database query

We are preparing to start a move to a new colo site and we will have users on the old site and on the new one while we are in the process of moving. At the moment when users navigate to our web site they are prompted for user credentials and are then sent to the default page as long as they have a valid Win2k AD account. In the process of this move we will need users to access our new site as we move them and the other users to access the current default site. We would like to set something up that would query a SQL database and based on the info found there either point users to the current default page which is a NFUSE aplication portal. On the other hand if it is a user that has been migrated to the new colo it should then redirect their browser to a different URL at the new colo which would then prompt them for user credentials and present them with the NFUSE portal on this new network. I'm really not sure how practicall this is to even consider, don't know how much work it might be to try and implement. the easiest option would of course be to tell user groups to use a temp URL as we migrate them but then I think we would have a lot of support calls from users that are trying to use the old URL when they should be using the new one. Any help is appreciated.
