newbie learning.. hosting terminologies

I am getting to have my own server.. so these things I am wondering.. All Hosts talks about this but there's no FAQ about what hey are... so please help

- What's a cabinet?
- What's 1'U' space, 4U space? (how big they are, please compar to a mid tower case.. )
- What's scalable Internet bandwidth?
- "bandwidth over an unshared, 100 Mbps Ethernet connection " (quoted from theplanet) Does this means my server's upstream will be 100Mbps ? (~ 10megabytes /seconds?) Well, if so this is A LOT!
- What's usually the speed of upstream of dedicated servers and co-lo servers? Are they usually the same within the same data center?
