i just installed mod_gzip with apache and i was completely surprised by the speed increase of my site AND the bandwidth savings. look at this picture below. my site traffic has not changed in the last few days but the bandwidth consumed was cut in half! just curious is there any downfall of this mod? why lots of hosts dont use them if they can save so much?
