can't save crontab
I am having problem editing/saving crontab for root. default editor is vi, I edited crontab for root as I used to do, but out of blue, today when I done editing crontab "crontab -e", I hit :wq, and it showed:
"crontab.15663" 16L, 431C written
crontab: no changes made to crontab
new crontab is not saved. my provider said that editing .bash_profile or /etc/bashrc might be the cause, however, I never touched those 2 files since I got the machine 7 months ago.
why is this happening? how could I save changes after doing "crontab -e" again?
It's a cpanel machine with RH7.3., and I tried restart crond with no luck.
