Cpanel and Horde not returning bounced emails??
Take a Cpanel server and any Horde mail account and try sending mail to a fake address and see if it will bounce back to the mail account. I am seeing instead it is returning to the cpanel box mail path usr/local/cpanel/mail/inbox. I have tried it on 14 servers now.
Log in to horde send a mail to a crazy address like hkdf@khsdkas.ocm and then SSH in and
tail usr/local/cpanel/mail/inbox and you will see the bounced message sitting there but it never returns to Horde mail account that sent it and instead this file just grows larger by the day and the user never knows their email bounced. Neomail works fine.
Something in Horde alters the return email to cpanel@servername.com instead of the email account that sent it.
Anybody else seeing this?
