Ensim - "250 day bug" - caused system crash

Has anyone experienced this? Yesterday, I tried to add sites to one of my machines. The add function failed with many ensim error messages.

I cut and pasted the error messages into a trouble ticket at Rackshack. THe response was:

Resolution Description:
4/25/03 3:45:24 PM
Dear Customer,

This problem is a bug in Ensim concerning continuous server uptime of over 250 days. A reboot will solve the problem and you will be able to add sites per usual. Please submit a reboot ticket via the Rackshack Members Section to rectify this problem.

Thank you for choosing Rackshack.

So I turned in a reboot request at 5:27pm. Shortly thereafter, I returned to my ensim panel only to find in the list sites command that NO SITES EXISTED. Updated my help request at 6:20pm.

Site List
Search: SiteIP Address contains
No sites exist!
I was accessing the sites until about 2am checking mail etc. The next morning (this morning) I attempted to log into my site and got NO response -- it just hangs in the browser.

at 8:35am, rackshack entered a ticket that they needed the root user and pass which I supplied.

But as of right now -- the two sites on that machine are not responding at all; ensim says that no sites exist; pings and tracerts DO work indicating dns is correct.

Has anyone ever experienced this and how did you remedy it?
Thank you.
