Please Help Choose a Web Server
I currently have 2 webservers in which i run my clients on, servers run apache, mysql etc.
Each web server has :
Dual P3 1Ghz
2gb SDRAM
single 36gb 10K drive.
Im considering moving these 2 server into 1 server with :
Dual Xeon ( 2.0Ghz + )
4gb DDR / RDRAM
single 36gb 10K drive.
Please tell me if you think there will be an improvement on server being able to handle more load and in what percentage more do you assume ?
also a technical question , does all the p4 xeon processors have HT or only 3.06 has it , if i put 2*2.0 will it behave as 4 processors ?
If there is anything else important you think i should know before buying server please advise.
