Burst of CPU Load
I am running a gaming network. My servers are all P4 2.4Ghz 533Mhz, 1GB DDR Ram, OS FreeBsd 5.1. There are 2 counterstrike servers on each machine. Everything seems to be working perfectly without lag until three days ago. The problem with the servers is, after a period of playing, the server will go crazy, cpu load will go up to maximum and the server idle load is kept at 0.0%. An acutal full 16 player will run at 30% at normal, but never more than 40%, but when it goes crazy, it can go up to 80%+, even when nobody is playing. There is nothing loaded on the server except for cs1.5. Please advise.
