BIND 8 vs BIND 9

Can anyone enlighten me on the pro's and con's of BIND 8 & BIND 9?

We are planning on moving to hosting Controller for our Web Hosting control panel but Hosting Controller (http://www.hostingcontroller.com) only claims to be compatible with BIND 8.

Any assitance would be greatly appreciated.
