Adelphia Web Wizard & Trellix Remote Publish Error
Hello...I'm a newbie on the list, and was hoping to get some information. I hope this is the right forum. I searched the archves here but could find what I'm looking for. I must warn you this post is long. Sorry.
I'm a Adelphia web hosting user(Web Wizard), and spent about 2 days learnng and creating a website to help sell my home here in NH. It uses Trellix sw. After spending hours creating the site, with many pages of text and placeholders for jpg files, I went to upload my pictures. They have a serious bug. Users cannot upload files of any type. The file actually gets transferred, as it shows up in their "Picture Gallery", but it cannot be viewed or used. The error code is: "Remote Publish Error" and to retry later because there is a problem with the host server. So I kept writng and writing, and figured I'd wait for their "server issue" to get resolved. Finally, I emailed Adelphia support, and they admitted a problem with the Trellix sw and are working on it, but they will not give me an expected date when it will be fixed. I am upset they didn't warn users that this problem exists, and basically deems the package useless.
I've been through this kind of problem in my career with sw vendors in the CAE tools world, so I know hings take time, but this is a basic function for web hosting, and I'm very frustrated.
They say they have NO workaround, but I suspect one exists. I would imagine I could use FTP to get my files there, but they won't help me. I don't know if it will be days or weeks before they fix it. I'm now looking for another web host service, reasonably priced without a yearly contract to get my site up. Any suggestions?
