Backup solutions other than rsync.

Anyone use a backup solution to backup complete systems other than rsync? I'm researching ways of backing up systems without having to do it over SSH.

I'd like to for instance have a large system, and have many 40gb/60gb machines that can backup to this large system without having SSH access to the large system.

Ideas? Backup solutions other than rsync.
