Add-on domain on cPanel
I have a client that needs a subdomain to be added as an add-on domain to host his website. However, he has no authority to point the domain to us, only able to point the subdomain to the IP that it is supposed to be.
I have tried adding the subdomains for him with cPanel add-on option, however, it didn't allow. It showed error message that the domain wasn't pointed under our nameserver and thus rejected my request. (The subdomain IP is pointed correctly)
Is there any way to get it done via cPanel or I've gotta edit httpd.conf manually or I have made some mistakes during the add-on domain?
Please advise.
