I think i have a rootkit in my server

When i telnetted to a port on my server (30000) and hit space,

i got a bash shell to root.. - edit - what appeared to be root, i do not have any permissions on this telnet shell, i cant access anything without getting pErmission denied

What should i do? how do i remove it? I found it using netstat and found someone connected to it
