how to : Migrate to a new server
i have looked around for related topics and got good ideas from them. as am not familiar with server management so would need some more insight.
i need to move an ip based site from ensim basic to another server with ensim pro.
please note i have just one site to move.
now question in my mind is how would i add ip based site on new server as site wont resolve i guess as my site would be running on another server.
another question is how to move databases and all files including ones in cgibin etc completely to new server. keeping same directory structure.
will i have to give directory permissions again on new server again.
there is a webbased email script im running which stores data on disk and attached some kind of signature to it in MYSql for retreival, last time when i moved it caused me lot of problem.
is there a way to avoid this.
i would be grateful for your help.
