Shared SSL on Windows 2003 Servers
Is it really true that windows 2003 does not allow shared SSL? I asked Psoft and they said the following which basically states no shared SSL on windows 2003.With Windows 2003 only one domain can be configured to work with shared SSL on one IP. While in your case you have several domains configured with SSL - therefore some of them are stopped.(The reason why two of your domains are working is because you have 2 domains configured manually to work with shared SSL, though it's not recommended).
SO, Windows 2003 checks domain settings more strictly and locks domains with the error which happened in your case. To fix this issue and restore the work of stopped sites, you can turn off Shared SSL for them from the CP.
They also said:
Fixing this issue requires a specific utility. We will try to make some changes in the nearest version, e.g. write additional tools that would to overcome this inconvenience. Unfortunately, so far this can't be fixed.
Does anyone know how to fix this now? Something that may also help psoft as I can see this being a HUGE problem. It is already becoming one for us.
