basic dns question
Im new to web hosting and registrars etc. Also new to WHT. WHT is a great resource! I hope this question is appropriate for this forum
My registrar is a different company than my hosting company. I have access to change my DNS records and I know my hosting companies dns servers.
All that I want to do is have my registered domain to point to my shared hosting website and I want to use my domain to use my mail server.....
with my hosting company I have ( example )
mysubdomain(.)hostingcompany(.)net
static IP
I can access my website using mysubdomain.hostingcompany.net
( or static IP ) and recieve email at
username@mysubdomain(.)hostingcompany(.)net
I would like to access webite with
www(.)myregistereddomain(.)com
and recieve emails at
username@myregistereddomail(.)com
please let me know what to do or direct me to a good resource.
