DNS problems!
linux zones:
1)dom.com (with an added A &NS records for ns1 &ns2.yy.dom.com &yy.dom.com )
2)ns1.xx.dom.com
3)ns2.xx.dom.com
hostname: xx.dom.com
windows server:
i changed the computer name to "yy"& changed the DNS Suffix to (dom.com).
hostname works now(yy.dom.com)
windows zones:
1)ns1.yy.dom.com (with an A record for itself)
2)ns2.yy.dom.com (with an A record for itself)
3)dom.com (with A dn NS records for ns1 &ns2.yy.dom.com &also A record for yy.dom.com)
no luck!
i deleted the zone "3" &added yy.dom.com(with A &NS records for ns1 &ns2.yy.dom.com)
but no luck!
from dnsreport.com for a hosted domain on windows:
A timeout occurred getting the NS records from your nameservers! None of your nameservers responded fast enough. They are probably down or unreachable. I can't continue since your nameservers aren't responding
nslookup yahoo.com ns1.yy.dom.com(my pc)
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
