Strange FrontPage Permission Issue
I am currently experiencing some strange problems with my current hosting provider.
When you attempt to create a new directory/folder within FrontPage, It creates the Folder (called New_Folder) and when you try to rename it, it says Server Error: Cannot rename "New_Folder".
When I go into CuteFTP I can see the permissions on the folder. The write permission is removed from the folder.
If I go into H-Sphere and click fix FrontPage extensions. It will then add write permission to all the folders. You have to do this EVERY TIME you create a new folder.
As you can tell, this is a pain in the butt for my customers.
My hosting company tells me:
A. Don't use FrontPage or
B. Use the latest version.
Well, I'm using FrontPage XP SP-2, so thats pretty "Up To Date", plus at the two other hosting companies I use, I have never had a problem.
Seems to me like maybe something is wrong at the hosting provider, but I have no idea what. Does anyone have a suggestion that I can offer to my hosting company?
