Weird mails are being sent out

One of my clients phoned me up today to tell me that she received error messages from the mail server.

I checked and saw that on two accounts on the server there are messages queued to nonsense addresses on the same account. Each of the messages contained 'coholv54@aol.com' in the subject line. When I entered this in Google I got a load of guestbook entries which were spammed by this email address and similar ones (ao hotdak3@aol.com, imagx09@aol.com, xung03@aol.com, spaininpain@aol.com, ...)

I think that my mail server is compromised in a way, since neither of the two clients on the affected accounts have configured outgoing mail via my server but use their own broadband connection for outgoing mail...

Does anyone have any experience with this?
