Linux Newbie:How Do I Host A Personal Site On A Cable Modem?
Today I just installed RH 9.0 for the first time and have apache up and running as well.
I would like to register a domain name, say myperosnalsite.com for my personal use. My questions is how do I host it if I don't have a static ip address? I have a cable modem plugged into a linksys router, and then my linux server plugged into the router. I think the rr cable switch chnages its ip address every few days, so I don't think it is a simple setup is it?
Is there some program out there that does this? I am sure I will have to do something with dns to do this as well.
Any help would be appericated.
