Is this a serious matter ?
Hello All,Today i have checked my server logs. There are two things I want to know.
First in logs there are so many ftp connection timeout requests from certain ip address like: this:
Jul 8 00:35:01 server proftpd[32433]: server.xxx.com (111.111.111.111[111.111.111.111) - FTP session closed.
Jul 8 00:35:46 server proftpd[1759]: server.xxx.com (111.111.111.111[111.111.111.111]) - FTP session opened.
Jul 8 01:12:16 server proftpd[1759]: server.xxx.com (111.111.111.111[111.111.111.111]) - FTP no transfer timeout, disconnected
Jul 8 01:12:17 server proftpd[1759]: server.xxx.com (111.111.111.111[111.111.111.111]) - FTP session closed.
There are so many like this.I have disabled my anoanymouns login long ago ..
I doubt this is port scanning of my server ...
Second is :
Jul 8 01:56:20 server stunnel[1189]: getpeerbyname: Transport endpoint is not connected (107)
Jul 8 01:56:42 server xinetd[25535]: warning: can't get client address: Connection reset by peerJul 8 01:57:58 server proftpd[25920]: server.studiotraffic.com - Fatal: unable to open incoming
connection: Bad file descriptor
Jul 8 01:59:14 server stunnel[1189]: getpeerbyname: Transport endpoint is not connected(107)
I don't any guess about this? Why bad file descriptor?
Can anybody look at this?
Thank you
