Replace harddisk on a Raid1 sata controller
I have a DELL 750 server with a CERC Sata Raid controller. We have a Raid 1 with 2 120GB SATA harddisks.
I tried now to replace a disk to learn how to do this in an emergency case. Unfortunately this was not working at all. I pressed CTRL and A to go to the Array Manager Bios. But there I did not have the possibility to add a new disk to a array, or replace a disk in the array.
I thought, that there need to be an option, that I can tell, which disk is the master disk wich has the real data and which is the new disk which is empty, so that I get a raid1 again.
Not even the DELL gold support was able to answer this questions.
Anyone can help me out?
