Windows 2003 server + MS Access driven ASP pages = Slow?

I have this problem with a customer's website. He is using MS Access and ASP. He does a query on the database, and then displays the results but his ASP pages are mind numbingly slow!

The server is a brand new P4 with more then enough RAM so I don't think it is a hardware issue but I haven't been able to determine the cause. Has anyone else experienced issues with ASP on 2003 server?
