First Time Dedicated Server Admin Questions
I just got my dedicated server partly for hosting messaging servers. I am completely lost in name servers. I want to confirm before my site goes down. Thanks for looking. Here it goes.
The name servers from our hosting came as
were given as ns1.MyDomain.com: IP: Ip1
Nameservers: ns1.MyDomain.com : IP: Ip2
We are planning to host 2 domains ParkedDomain1 and ParkedDomain2.
Nameserver of MyDomain.com at present is is ns1.OtherHostingDomain.com
I added DNS for MyDOmain.com in GoDaddy pointing ns1.MyDOmain.com and ns2 to their ip addresses respectively.
Then I gave name server1 for ParkedDomain1 and ParkedDomain2 as ns1.MyDomain2.
Let me know if this is correct.
