Intel P4 Prescott CPU temps
Have recently bought some intel p4 cpu's (2.8C & 3.0C FSB800 P4) and have found them to run incredibly hot on a couple of MSI mainboards...
I have heard a lot of rumours that prescotts run hot anyway, but at the mo these cpus are idle @ 48C and full loading @ 55C - IMO this is stupidly high but it might be normal, using standard heatsink and fans that P4 are boxed with.
Can anyone else who uses this CPU for servers or workstations confirm they are experiencing these high temps.
