swap on secondary HD

hello

swap is never good, but... is it a nice idea to use a secondary HD for swap, instead the primary (the one that the sites and system files are)?

i think it may be because:
1) my secondary HD is only used when doing backups
2) the number os "seeks" on primary HD would be low since it doesn't need to always "go to the swap partition" and "go to the sites/system partition"

suggestions?
