DNS - link a domain to a dedicated server?
Hi,I can't get my DNS settings right. What is needed to "link" a domain to the server?
I have registerd a domain with a domain registrar.
Next I "registed" two name server with that domain and linked them to two ip's on my server.
ns1.dns1-nor.net -> 193.23.224.74
ns1.dns1-nor.net -> 193.23.224.75
Then I have setup the dns info with my controlpanel(DirectAdmin) on the dedicated server. The dns info at the server looks like this:
dns1-nor.net. A 193.23.224.71
ftp A 193.23.224.71
localhost A 127.0.0.1
mail A 193.23.224.71
pop A 193.23.224.71
www A 193.23.224.71
dns1-nor.net. NS ns1.dns1-nor.net.
dns1-nor.net. NS ns2.dns1-nor.net.
mail MX 10
ftp A 193.23.224.71
localhost A 127.0.0.1
mail A 193.23.224.71
pop A 193.23.224.71
www A 193.23.224.71
dns1-nor.net. NS ns1.dns1-nor.net.
dns1-nor.net. NS ns2.dns1-nor.net.
mail MX 10
It is over 72 hours since it was setup, and it's still nok working.
I can ping and tracert both the name server (ns1 and ns2.dns1-nor.net)
I tried to run a test on the domain with dnsreport.com, but it gives me a ns timeout (http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsre...w.dns1-nor.net).
