Intranet??????????
Its my first post here, but I have been reading the other posts in the board and getting information- Pretty much all I now in the subject
I have a series of doubts and it would be great if I could get some help.
I am planning to develop a intranet solution for our company, but here where my doubts start:
We are a small company with 8 employees on site+ 3 employes in 3 different locations elsewhere in the city, and 1 additional employee located abroad.
Both cost and security are important issues.
My questions are:
1) In terms of cost, security and efficiency shoul we host the intranet in house (note we do not have a server, only terminals, so would have to buy one) or should we host the intranet at dedicated/vps offsite host trough a site created by us?
2)Does any one has any idea of costs involved at any of those projects? What will I need to set up them?
3) Where could I find further help with any of those solution, I am only planning the concept, as my thecnical knowledge is limited I will have the final project done by someone more capable.
Any other info I would be most grateful.
P.s: Most of our employees do no speak english, so the user interface would have to be set to portuguese.
