can I have 2 different nameservers for one site?

there's other thing, actually I'm coming from bad hosting experience with acehost.net as they just deleted my reseller account without even notification saying that I violated the agreement, and this after complaining many times about down time which is more than 1 day in some cases..

And now im trying new hosting company

what I'm thinking of, what if I have 2 different hosting providers, to avoid this problem as I lost many clients in this problem as I had to wait to till I transfer to other provider and to transfer the DNS, keeping in mind that I lost all data, (emails specially) can I write in the DNS 2 different nameserver on 2 different server?, is this gona work in case the main host go down, ill be online on the other server without waiting for 72 to change the DNS?

I know this might not work, but I'm looking for solution if anyone have any ????
